About M. Clare Design

After 20 years working in public relations, Marisa Bushee was ready for a change and looking for an opportunity to undertake more creative projects. Interior design was a natural outgrowth from the renovation work she and her husband had undertaken with rental homes in Austin. After working with contractors on several major renovation projects, Marisa embraced her passion for interior design and studied ID at the Art Institute of Austin. She further honed her skills through the Summer Academy in Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.

Marisa then founded M. Clare Design and provides design consultation services in the Austin, TX and Boston, MA metropolitan areas where she and her husband have homes. Based primarily in Austin, Marisa serves on the board of the Women’s Association of the Austin Country Club and is a member of the Women’s Symphony League of Austin, Impact Austin and the Austin Rotary Club. She enjoys distance running, travel and golf.
